I see I'm not alone in complaining about the biggest credit card scam in the U.S. Oh, wait... They're overseas!
I made my payments on a regular basis, monthly. I stopped using the card so that I could just get it paid off. First, as I was in the habit of paying more than the monthly fee, and I paid $50.00 each month, one month, they changed my bill from $35.00 to $51.00. Then they charged me a late fee.
From that point on, I watched the monthly bill and made sure they didn't scam me again. I finally decided this past month to pay it off in full. I paid it as soon as the bill came. This month I got another bill for $11.83. Finance charge on zero $ balance. I had already asked them to close my account three months ago. I told him again, and he (dave) said he can't until it's paid in full. When I threatened to go to the Attny General... He scoffed at me and said read the back of your bill. There's nothing illegal.
Maybe not illegal, but definitely unethical. And it's impossible to understand their "outsourced customer service"!
Be WISE! Don't ever use Capital One
