Due to one late payment, which was my fault, and one payment made through their web site that was made on time, but not according to them, my interest rate was jacked up to 29.99%. Of course this was after transferring another balance to them.
I paid the eintire balance off by the due date on the statement and closed the account. But the next month, they still sent me a bill for accrued finance charges explaining that the bill went out on the 1st of the month and I didn't pay off the balance till the 19th.
Even after extracting all the finance charges they had over a course of a few months they were not satisfied, they still would not waive the accrued finance charge and we're very snotty over the phone and hung up on me.
I have never been asked to pay an accrued finance charge on any credit card I have ever paid off.
My advice, Never Ever do business with Chase Bank!
