I requested health insurance information on the internet (I forgot the website) and have received many phone calls from various health care providers and brokers.
One caller, National Benefit Consultants, 954-970-0393, (this info from my caller I.D.) has called at least seven times, each time a different person and using several different company names.
The first caller quoted me $119. A month for my wife and $20. A month for myself (which I told him was a lot less than she was paying for a family plan at work). He also quoted an amount in the $200. S as an origination fee. He asked if my wife was available to come to the phone.
When I told him she was at work, he suggested I get her on a 3-way conference call. I told him that was not possible since she may not receive personal calls unless in an emergency, but that he could reach us at home when she got off work.
He told me that was too bad, because that would be too late as this offer would expire.
When I informed several of the other callers form National Benefit about this call, they denied having called previously. One even mentioned they had over 400 callers in their office.
