My Complaint is about a $15.00 fee that HSBC is trying to charge me. I attempted several days before my payment was due to make a payment online. I discovered at this time that this feature was not working. So, I called and at this time the agent informed me that I must not have been registered to retry, etc. So, again I retried to make the payment to no avail. So I called again, but was unable to get a customer service agent at that time. I then went into the customer service area on line and voiced a complaint. Okay the next day— a day away from making a scheduled payment— I again attempted to make an online payment, but I still could not do so. I was then informed by the agent that even if i did make a payment it would not post and that I would be charged a late fee also. So, I explained my situation to her, told her I had previously emailed the company, and asked would she take the phone payment less the fee. She flat out refused, she told me the fee would be charged, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor she put me on hold and never came back. Okay, I then tried again later that evening to reach another customer service agent and was hung up on this time, and I still could not make an online payment. Okay, now on the due date, I again called to make a phone payment because at this time the payment was due— Same story— they would not take it without charging the fee and I WAS HUNG UP ON AGAIN WHEN I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR— So, I called the payment in via the automated system, I PAID THE BALANCE—I AM THROUGH WITH SUCH IGNORANCE! And I cut the card up, wrote them a letter that I wanted the account closed and that I was disputing the balance. TO SUM EVERYTHING UP! HOUSEHOLD BANK IS STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME THIS FEE AND NOW THEY TELL ME THAT IF I DO NOT PAY IT THEY WILL ALSO ACCESS ME A $3.50 FEE A MONTH, INCLUDING OTHER LATE CHARGES UNTIL THE ACCOUNT IS PAID IN FULL!!!

THIS company is attempting to rip me off!!!

I did everything I could to get the payment to them in a timely manner— I pay all my credit cards on line and have never ever had this type of run around from any of them—all have been very helpful with any complaints of concerns

HOUSEHOLD— for the most part could care less—ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY!!
