Started calling a year after my bankruptcy was discharged. Claimed I owed an old phone bill. Usual third world types leave voice messages. I recorded and logged them all using a software program that answers the phone and tracks all caller ID including "Unknown Caller" and turned them over to my lawyer. They persisted after two warnings. He is suing them.
If you've been forced to bankruptcy, watch two things: getting involved with trying to repay... Do not do this, it will open the old debt again; companies enticing you under different names, vis-a-vis Washington Mutual sending me attractive credit offers when they are really PROVIDIAN in sheep's clothing. If I signed with Washington Mutual, it's likely the account would open with my old Providian debt from the bankruptcy added on.
