So I got this letter from AlliedInterstate saying I owe "Verizon North" $319.14. I'm very good about keeping track of my bills, as I pride my credit, and definately know I never had a Verizon phone (I'm assuming Verizon North is a Verizon company...).
Anyway, I decided to log on to the internet (what would we do without it?), and find all of these crazy complaints about harassing phone calls! I have not received any phone calls, or at least I don't think I do, funny thing is, this letter went to my mother's house, and I'm sure if they are calling, they are calling my poor mother... Well, anyway.
It's obvious this company is UNBELIEVABLE, my heart goes out to everyone, I read dozens of complaints. So knowing all that I know now, what should I do? I wanna call, but calling doesn't seem to be helping anybody else, I really would like to just ignore this.
I genuinely do not owe this debt, and would've been contacted by "Verizon North" at some point, via a letter from their company, not Allied Interstate, right?
So should I toss the letter away, and thank god I never called them and gave them any personal information. Report them? And to who? I'd appreciate any kind words of advice.
