If you want something done about this company file a complaint on ftc. Gov. Someone asked why the government doesn't do anything about a company like this... Because we don't report them using the proper channels. If everyone who posts on this website would also report them to the ftc, something might get done. At the very least, they are going to start spending alot of time on the phone with the ftc, instead of unsuspecting consumers. Below is my complaint submitted over the internet on ftc. Gov. Explain Your Problem: (Please limit your complaint to 2000 characters.): (Product Name: debt collection) This company/person was actually trying to reach my brother. My parents who live at the phone number they called have told them in the past that my brother does not live here, yet they continue to call. Also, Tamarisk was rude and harassing on the phone with me. When I asked what company she was with, she said she didn't have to tell me.
So, I informed her that my Dad would not accept a phone call from someone who wouldn't reveal who they were with. She became very rude. Later in the conversation, she asked me if my dad taught me how to pay my bills, too. That is harassment. IT just so happens that my dad has a perfect credit history, as do I. WE both pay our bills on time every single month. She had no right to make such a derogatory statement! Especially, when I already told her that my dad was not the person she was looking for. She was looking for my brother.
When I was insisting that she tell me what company she was with, she sarcastically asked if I had a law degree. Again, that is uncalled for behavior when she is the one making the phone call to said phone number. I am sorry but I am not going to be polite to someone who can't tell me what company they are calling from, and it is true that my dad does not take phone calls from people he doesn't know. This company needs to be corrected!!!
