Hi I need help. I have been harassed by a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates, (PRA). They are calling about an account back in 1994. This account shows as written off on my report yet they state they just bought it from a company called Four Score Response back in 2006. I never heard of that company and it was never listed on my credit report.
My problem is they will not stop calling because they state they have a right since the debt is mine no matter how old it is.
I asked for the information to the debt and they told me to go on their web site and get it. I asked all the questions you stated to ask and got nothing. They will not put it in writing to me and I am not sure what to say to them and send certified as you mentioned. Please advise. What can I do to stop it?
