They tell you to use their card for at least nine gas purchases per year at any Shell station and the annual fee ($20) will be waived. It is all a LIE.
I just got off the phone with Pam, at the above customer service number. She can't even get the rules right. She hasn't a clue, except that she will not refund the $20 fee, which I should have never been charged. This was my second call.
On July 6th, I spoke to a supervisor, I said either credit the $20 annual fee or close my account. He did neither. They even print it on my statements, "annual fee waived if 9 or more Shell gas purchases per year".
It's just a RIPOFF!
I have several CitiBank cards, I guess its time to close them all!
