Caller said he was Kevin Smith, and that i would be needing a
credit card machine for my new business venture.
I thought he was calling from my new wholesale account, and was
legit. He spoke in a convincing way. I stated i was ill, and
would he callback another day. He said he had a special that i
needed to take advantage of, and had to do this now.
He said due to 911, and due to homeland security i would
have to do everything he told me.
He kept me on the phone, faxed these copies, told me to sign
them, would not let me have time to read, and had me fax them
back.
In a day or two the machine came, when i realized he was not
from my wholesaler, i sent the machine back. He SIGNED for
it on 3/23/06, per UPS, but stated he had a call that it came
back and what was up!
I told him i did not need it. He said he was sure i did. I
explained that i did not feel well yet, and that i did not
need it.
I started calling people for help. Filed a report with BBB,
the State Rep's Office, etc. The BBB sent the report to
Chicago Ill, and stated they will handle it.
I also filed a police report. I had a call a few days later
from a Mr Ryan, who said he was from the American Paywise
Corp marketing dept. And that if i did not pay he would
ruin my credit rating.
I believe him, because i have had numerous calls from a
Lease Finance Group, LLC 233 No Michigan Ave., Suite 1800
Chicago Ill, 60601, and a letter threatening to turn me
over to the Collection Agencies.
No one cares that i was ripped off by a telemarketer, and
that the machine was sent back and is not in my possession.
I have to have my bank Acct frozen, my auto deposits will
not come for a month, and i have no money. I will not be
able to continue with the new company i was launching.
These people do not care!!! They just want money...
