I purchased a credit card machine for my hair salon. The salesman did not give me the lease to sign. He had me to sign a paper saying that I agree to pay my monthly payments. That paper happen to be the front of the lease. He led me to believe that I would own the machine after term of lease for $600.00 (Not True) Machine was $1600.00
I did not know that I would have to pay a percent off each transcation, and also buy insurance for the equipment. When questioned about the different terms that was told to me by friends the salesman stated that he thought I was aware of this, because the business next door had the same machine. I was told that I could not break the lease, because they claimed I signed a lease agreement. At that time a copy of the lease was sent to me.
After reading the lease I send the machine back to the company within 30 days. Lease Finance harrassed me for months. Making statements like I must can not read, because I signed the lease, and they want their money. Now I am trying to do everything to get this off my credit report. The company updates the account regular causing my beacon score to lower. These sales tactics need to be stopped.
