Several years ago our mortgage was refinanced with Homecomings Financial. Little did we know then the hell we would go thru. We got behind on our mortgage due to a cut in my husband's route we worked out a repayment/remodification with Homecomings and we had to pay them $1021.00 a month on a $85,000 house. At the end of the repayment these sharks told us we owed an additional $3000.00 and if we could not pay that we would have to work out yet again another repayment loan. We tried to reach these sharks by phone numerous times they would not call us back we then got a nasty letter in the mail from them they has put us in foreclosure and now we had all these attorney fees to pay on top of the $3000.00 that was tacked on to the end of the original repayment loan.
Finally after five months Sylvia, one of their foreclosure loan rep's worked out another repayment for three more years because we had to pay the $3000.00 left over from the original (which they avoid to tell you will be left over when we worked out the original repayment with them) after paying on this second repayment agreement they sent our payment back in August stating we were late and that they had turned it back over to their foreclosure attorney's. Our payment was not late they sent it back in the mail fedx. After a whole month of trying to reach someone the lady there who sent it back said that we would have to work out another repayment agreement and pay more attorney fees because she sent the payment back and we told her basically to forget it that we would not work out another repayment/remodification with them that we would send them what they said was past due including the bogus attorney fees just to get them out of our hair. We took money out of our 401 K plan to do this.
Well when we went to send this to them we could not get anyone to return our calls. The woman who sent it back this third time was no longer left and they had transfered us over to someone named Frank, who was NEVER there. I would hit zero to talk to someone and they would not help me told me that I had to talk with him. It took us three months to finally get ahold of him and he told us they were going to foreclose so we we to a foreclosure prevention company and Homecomings told them we had been in Foreclosure with them 16 times and that we had broken our agreement which was a complete lie. They sent our damned payment back.
On March 6 Homecomings sold our home, which they bought back and have evicted us. These people are crooks. They lie and steal from innocent people. We have three children have had to find a house to rent after living in our home for 10 years. Is there anything that can be done to stop these people from doing this to anyone else? They have ruined our credit but the whole time they kept us in repayment they reported it to the credit bureaus as foreclosure even though we were repaying them. Frank the last person there who we talked to told my husband they have had a lot of turn over and that accounts get switched around. That's no my problem. All I know is they make it where you can't talk to anyone and they send your payments back when you are not even late then slam you into foreclosure. This has been a nighmare and I want to take legal action against this company. I really think this is a game to them to make more money off of consumers. They should be put out of business. I found out to that their loan specialist make commissions for each account they are assigned that they have to work out a repayment program for. That explains why they are so willing to send your d*ned payments back when they are not even late. They should be put out of business.
