I have included below the email I sent to Ocwen's Financial Corporation's Ombudsman, of course I got an automated reponse with a link to click on so I could include my account info etc. Guess what? The link didn't work!
I also emailed this letter to the V.P. Of Ocwen, Robert J. Leist Jr. ~ with no reponse ~ another big surprise!
I additionally sent an email complaint to the Office of Thrift Supervision. I will continue filing complaints with everyone and anyone who will listen.
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I can to do to get this resolved?
This is the email I sent to Ocwen:
I recently purchased a home and the mortgage was tranferred to Ocwen. I did some research on the company and did not like what I found! There seems to be a pattern of predatory lending practices, civil litigation and down right dirty business techniques.
I am currently racing against time to refinance my mortgage through a local financial institution so I can get out from under Ocwen's dirty lending practices, which continue even though I see there have been several civil judgements recovered for deceptive practices.
I write this letter now because I am experiencing the same dirty practices. I have NOT received a pay statement for this month (March). I decided I could pay my mortgage online and avoid any late fees ~ which I do NOT feel I should pay as I DID NOT receive my monthly statement or payment form.
I tried four times to pay my mortgage online and was not able to do so as they said there was a problem and the payment could not be processed. (Ocwen's website states these transactions are handled through Western Union... Western Union no longer exists...? Care to make any comments about that?)
Last month I received a letter from Ocwen requesting I prove insurance coverage (which I did). This seems to be the beginning of your scam to foreclose on citizens homes! This immediately got me motivated to kick you to the curb! Now it seems Ocwen is making it impossible for me to pay my mortgage on time... Hmmm. Seems like a pattern...
I also tried to make my payment with your automated phone system and it says my account number is invalid and then disconnects my phone call. After today my payment will be considered late. I will not have my credit tarnished because of Ocwen's deceptive practices!
I intend to contact the FBI, the US Office of Thrift Supervision, the Florida Attorney General, the Federal Registrar, the Office of Comptroller, etc. I have a HUGE extensive list of contact numbers, websites and names. I WILL contact all of these orgaizations by close of business today!
I will not be a victim of your predatory lending practices!
