First, I would like to say my local Wells Fargo agent is great. He has tried to help. The home office is completely incompetent.
I purchased a home September 1. My mortgage company was Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They told me at closing that my loan would be transferred in a few months. My payments were to start November 1.
I received a letter from Wells Fargo dated October 20 stating that my mortage would be transferred to US Bank on November 7. The letter states "The servicing of your loan by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will be transferred to US Bank. The transfer date is November 7. If you have not already done so please send your November payment to us before the transfer date"."The date we will stop accepting payments is November 4". The letter was from Diane Thiese, Manager, Servicing Acquisitions.
I made my November 1 payment to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. All other payments have been made to US Bank.
I have been recieving phone call since early January from Wells Fargo stating that I am past due on my December, January payments. I contacted them several times and told them that they transferred my mortgage. I read the letter that they sent to me stating this. I read the letter from US Bank stating that my mortgage has been transferred. I have given copies of the documentation regarding the transfer and a copy of my US Bank statement.
They continue to harass me. I have recieved a statement dated Feb. 10 that they will begin foreclosure proceedings immediately if I do not pay them for December, January and February. I'm not going to give them a cent. I don't owe them anything. I am in good standing with US Bank.
I am not concerned about the threats of foreclosure because I have all of the documentation of the transfer, and I am in good standing with US Bank. I am very upset that I continue to be harassed by Wells Fargo Customer service department and collection department. I will never do anything with Wells Fargo again. I would discourage anyone to do anything with Wells Fargo.
