I am disabled now, I was given a platium card, gold card & regular credit card I was a state lisigned general contractor for 24 years In 1998 I was dignosed with a spinal injury[Un operable broken neck]. I had no choice but to retire my company. I warrented my workmenship for one year and kept the phone on for at least one year after the last job was complete. I ran an honest business always never ripped off no one or done bad work. I have 4 young children and and had to survive so I sold my construction equipment of a piece at a time and filed for disability it took 3. Years to be quilified and start receiving ss checks and recieved 3 years of back payments.
I had cards from capital one, providian and first bank of marian before I became disabled. I made all paymts. To all the card companys every month to keep my credit in good shape and at the time I thought I was dealing with deciet companys[wrong] when I recieved my settlement which i earned since I had work and supported myself since I was 14 years of age I did not feel bad about recieving ss since I had paid taxes and self employyment taxes since 1974.
Anyway when I recieved my back pay the 1st thing I did ways write a ck. To each company and payoff all my debt. They sent me a bill saying I still owed them more money since they were jumping my rate on all cards to 30 percent. I called legal aid since I was broke by that time, they wrote me a letter telling me they could not help me. Which is the same answer I get from every lawyer I talk to there afaraid to deal with the big companys. So I continuid to pay these compay out of my SS ck. For about a year I did not send only the min. I sent $100. To each my balances they said I owed kept going up my family was going hungry, our power was cut off we cooked on our would stove I wrote each company to explan and try to get an answer why this was happening they never answered me.
I figured that I had paid them off at least 6 times what I owed. My familey went trow hell I deciced my familey was more important than those crooks. And sent them a letter and stop makiny the payments. They have been calling me night and day every since. Now providian has sued me and try to tack a judgement against me companyone card at a time which this one is for $5400. Up feb. 23 try to get together all reciepts and ck stubs and trying to find a lawyers with caooneys enough to fight them, they have ruined my credit and am planning on sueing them for substancial amountif I can find a laywer. Meantime my mortgage sold out to national mortage company, about two years later and I've never been late on payment, they look at my credit reort and seen proviadian, capital one and bank of marian from las veges was putting all this stuff on there to keep it active like selling to other companies and such. NMC let one of my house payments lay on there desk until it went in default sent mea payment invoice saying I owed them two payments and if I didnnt send them $840. They were going to take my house so I moneygramed them the $840.00 clled the with the gram # they said they couldnot find it for a week and sent me another letter saying that I owed them 3 payments plus attorny fees which amounted to over $4500.00. I was all to peices by then I borrowed the money and sent them the $4500.00 certified mail all this happened in one month.
I tried to call them and the system only had 1 number which said according to your phone number you are being routed to Mrs. B*CH! The most hateful irate person I have ever talked to would not let me talk to any one else would hang up on me after about 3 months I recieved a paymt invoice for the next month that said I had over paid by one month, huh! I sent it back asking for a reciept or break down of the charges or an invoice stating I had paid this money they till this day have not sent me anything.
Can't talk to no person except Miss B& can't logon to there web site or anything. I was not able to refiance with anyone else to get away from them or to get a lower rate because they have all ruined my credit which they just raised my rate to close to 9 percect now. I am going through my paper reciept which I have every return since 1974 and Looking for a lawyer who is willing and has the balls to stand up to these people, Am willing to sue them individualy If there is anyone out there that knows MR.
