Grant Services
Total scam, fraud, con-artists, ripoff, liars. They promise $6000, you get nothing, they take $298 from you, and you lose

It comes in the form of a phone call, They have your name, address, phone number. They promise you $6000 in the form of a grant from the federal government.
They say there is a processing fee of $298. They give you the option of choosing the date you want it debited from your bank account. They give you a customer service number (1-866-999-1896) which ends up being just a repititious recording, and they give you a "tracking number".

They take your bank name, account number, and routing number. After all this, they say they are recording this part of the conversation, then they ask you some questions like "Do you understand that your account will be debited on such and such a date?" and "Do you understand that if the funds are not available at the time of debit, your bank will charge you up to $50 for taking the funds?", etc.

They speak with an extremely heavy Indian accent, and they sound VERY REAL. I am not a gullible person, but they convinced me, totally.

THANK-GOD I had the presence of mind (a few hours after the fact) to go on line, and check out this so-called agency. Upon looking from Google, I found this website, and read all about this scam. After I picked my chin off the floor, I decided to close my bank account immediately. They almost got me. If you don't have the presence of mind to check it out, and they take your money, and then you contact the bank, you may be out of luck. Don't let this happen to you!!!
