These people called me and first of all I could barely understand them. Then they told me I would receive a $8,000 grant from the Government just for paying my taxes last year. I said a lot of people paid their taxes last year. This happend on Nov. 10 and they said I would need to pay $257.00 by Nov. 20. I decided I would give them a phony bank account number. They did not catch it so I kinda got suspicious at that point, but I thought maybe it wouldn't show up until they tried to run the number through the bank. So I kept listening and finally they put me on a recording and started asking me all kind of questions. When they ask for all of my bank information for the second time I hung up on them. They called me right back. I didn't talk to them the second time, just immediately hung up again. My husband asked me to check the internet and I am so glad I did. And I am especially glad I didn't give them my real bank account number.
