We we're contacted by Custom Mortgage through Lending Tree.com about 6 months ago and decided to go with them after sorting through about a dozen morgage companies.
We waited for months and jumped every possible "hurdle" (as the loan officer called it). We were told not to pay our existing mortgage because we would be refinaced in time. We were promised money back and a lower payment.
After three months we were told that there was a problem with our credit. Lates on paying the mortgage. Ironically the same mortgage they told us not to pay.
To make matters worse they made up a completely different story to get out of the refiance all together because we threatened to bring in lawyers. Please beware of this company, they've cost us our credit and possibly even our home!
