I have had a nightmare experience with Nationwide Loan Modification Agency as well and I am in the midst of trying to retrieve all or some of my money that I paid them. They took my money and over a period of several months claimed to be in communication with my mortgage company. At first I was not behind in my mortgage, I just wanted to make arrangements to possibly reduce my mortgage payment amount but my mortgage company (who sucks!) did not want to hear any conversation that regard. I was honest with them telling them I was just laid off and was concerned about my mortgage but again the mortgage company did not want to discuss anything in that regard so I after checking out Nationwide on the internet, I decided to sign on with them. After several months of not making any kind of headway on this supposed modification I called my mortgage company and was told that Nationwide was NOT in any communication with them! I immediately sent Nationwide notification that I no longer wanted any dealings with them as they failed to even be in communication with my mortgage company which put me even further behind in my mortgage payments. So I was forced to retained an attorney to take on my modification with my mortgage company. I have contacted the Attorney General in New York and registered my complaint in detail and await his reply.
