Chase sold my mobile home mtg to Vanderbilt effective 1/1/05. I was sent written confirmation that NOTHING would change about my mtg.

In Feb 205 I rec'd my bank statement that refelcted NO pmts were withdrawn by Vanderbilt in January. I called and told them Chase had been withdrawing $230 every second Friday for years and Vanderbilt had not withdrawn any since taking over.

They claimed to know nothing about it and told me I could get on auto pmt, but it would only be once per month. I declined and continued to call in practically every other week to have the $230 taken out of my account. Two weeks ago I was told I now had to call a different number to have it done.

Today I called, was informed that they cannot help me because my mtg is paid ahead and told me to call the original number I was using. When I called there, I was transferred around 3 times (I was on the phone for 1/2 hour!) and was told they cannot accept "partial pmts".

I told them they are not partial if my acct is paid ahead (through 9/05) so what's the problem? Besides, you've been doing it since Feb! They refused to accept and apply the pmt. They said it would be placed in an "account" until the balance of the pmt was rec'd. Does this mean none of the many pmts I've made since Feb were applied the day they took it out of my account?

This is NOT RIGHT! I make my payment regularly and they refuse to apply them when they withdraw the money from my account. That screws with my principal balance due which in turns screws with my interest!

Vanderbilt has inconsistent business practices and no concept of customer relations. I'm looking for another lender who will not charge me an arm and a leg to refinance. I should not have to pay high closing costs, a new appraisal fee, and the "5%" down pmt. I already own the house! I'm not buying it again!

Damn Vanderbiilt for being such pigs to deal with. I'm only sorry Chase didn't give me the option to chose who I wanted my mtg to be sold to! Given all I've heard about Vanderbilt the last 3 years, they would not have been my choice at all!!
