Unfair fees Ripoff!

I had enough funds in my checking account to cover any outstanding checks or debit card transactions.inadvertently a charge for $100 was pending on my account. This was an error on my part. However, this charge came in after I had made the other purchases.

Wells Fargo chose to pay this $100 causing me an overdraft! Therefore all the smaller charges were then paid and I was charged $33 for each one. There were 7 of these fees causing me $231 in fees!

I protested these charges and begged them to reverse them as I am on a fixed low income. I told them it was unfair to pay the $100 and then not have funds to pay all the other charges... And why didn't they deny this charge in the first place if there weren't funds in my account?

I wrote to Wells main office in Oregon on May 6th. They took their sweet time answering and I finally got the usual "generic" response as when I e-mailed them which was not received until May 28th! It took them over 3 weeks to respond.

They admitted that they will pay the highest amount first and then the smaller ones! This is not right nor fair to the customers. Wells Fargo is ripping people off.

I've been a customer for 8 years and very unhappy with their policies and lack of caring. Other people have different banks and have had this happen and their banks are gracious enough to either reduce the charges or reverse them!

Wells does nothing but scarf up as much money as they can and could care less.
