Thank you Obama administration for passing great laws that prevents obnoxious fees from sneaky Banks like Wells Fargo. However Wells Fargo, being one of the leading banks in America, still has quite the noose around their customers. Fees. Fees. Fees. Since they no longer can collect irrational fees for non-service oriented transaction like transferring money between accounts online, they came up with a new fee! $3.00 every month to use your debit card. Really?
Don't get me wrong, $3/month is very little. I mean... $36 a year is really not much BUT it's not like they stop there and it's the principal of letting large companies rape you without care. $20 a month service fee if your account is below a certain amount they deem normal, $40 overdraft charge (typical banks are $30 but that is a user error charge, so fair enough), $5-15 for cashier checks, $10 to cash a check without an account... The list goes on. They're one of the largest banks for a reason. They have all our money!
But to be fair, Wells Fargo certainly needs to make money so they don't ask the government or buffet for huge checks to float them along and of course, pay their employees and overhead BUT you'd think from all the money they are 'saving' for us, which generates how much in interest, and then all the loans with high financing rates because they don't have thousands of dollars already in their account and credit cards with odd payment structures coupled with more fees, they'd be set and wouldn't need to piss off their customers with meaningless charges. But alas, no. They just 'need' more. And we still need the Money Monster unless you get paid in cash, then cool for you.
So ultimately Wells Fargo, it's not right, it's not fair, and not good business. So give us our $3.00 back!
