Started about in the year 2001.
Received a phone call, why not attended their meeting. They wanted me to pay $800 to get started and told me that my "referals" are restricted to the telephone book.
I told them sorry but no. Then they tried the guilt trip on me. Oh but it will be worth it in the end blah blah blah. I said if I'm going to shell out $800, I'm going to use that to pay for a real estate license. After about 20 minutes of them on going about what the program was all about, I simply stated "no thank you" again, and walked out.
I had my resume on a resume site and received at least 3 phone calls a week from Primerica. I simply stated each time that I was not interested and to please remove me from their calling list.
About a year later I received a phone call from them yet again. And they I asked how they found me. They replied through the resume site. I said ok? Then they started into the whole talk again. So I put the phone down, changed the laundry and came back and they were still talking. I said I'm not interested. I'm looking for something related to my field of training, not what you are offering.
They mumbled something and hung up.
The calls stopped for about 3 blissful months.
Then they started back up again.
Again with the speeches. I told them that I was only looking for a tech job. They said my resume mentioned that I was open minded. I said yes, as in any type of tech job. They told me that I didn't clarify that. Well I thought that my title "Tech Profession" would say it all, not "Phone Sales Operator" Which they wanted me to do.
I told them if they contacted me one more time I was going to contact an attorney for harrassment. I never got a call from them again. That's pretty sad that I had to threaten them with a harrassment. And I was so ready to get a restraining order against them because the calls just would not stop.
First of all, I don't think that I should have to pay anyone money let alone $800 that included NOTHING, for me to work for them.
Second of all, I'm not going to work for anyone that I would even think about putting a restraining order on them.
