First of all I must be an idiot. This scam had red flags flying everywhere and I fell for it. My story is similar to Brian's, I did 2 transactions and tried to contact the owner of the paypal accounts the money was coming from as well as evridic about the flaky website and a thorough description of what the money was being transferred for etc. She sent me back some bs like she sent Brian. Paypal then froze my account and are in the process of conducting an investigation.
After the second transaction, I felt something wasn't just right about the whole deal and called western union and cancelled the transfer before it was picked up so I'm into paypal for $846 for the first one. They reversed the first transaction and cancelled the second before it went to my bank account.
My question is this, why am I the one losing out here? How did the money get from the other users' paypal account to mine? Who initiated that transaction?
What can I do?
