Collector Claims $2,551.93 Owed on Bank Account I Never Heard Of

On 15 January I received a collection letter from Debt Collector named Carla Dietz located in Asset Acceptance LLC offices in Warren, Missouri with a telephone number listed as 800-525-8022 Ext 3601.

She stated that her company had purchased an account from First Consumers National Bank and that my payment was past due it was for $2,551.93.

She said that if I disputed the validity of this debt I could notify them in writing and they would prove the bill with judgments or verification.

My problem is that I have been out of the United States for the past four years and do not owe anyone any amount of money and have never heard of First Consumers National Bank.
