No access to funds! - AccountNow Prepaid Debit Card
I opened this account for one reason only; to get away from banks. I needed a simple prepaid account and i remembered this company sent me a card a while back which i tossed of course. So without reviewing the company, i just decided to open up an account. I did think the fees were a bit steep, but i just needed something temporary until i can find a more permanent place to put my money. So for now this place seemed okay. That's where i went wrong! So i signed up earlier in July 13' and was waiting for my card in the mail. It was around payday and i decided i need my routing and checking # for my direct deposit to go through. So i called the hotline # and spoke w/a rep. She gave me my routing and checking account#. Boom! Done, right? Wrong! Little did i know i had TWO accounts with this place! The rep FAILED to advise me that and i didn't ask because i never signed up for TWO accounts. So here i go linking my direct deposit to an account that i don't even know about! The next day i get my card in the mail. I'm thinking, 'yay! I got my simple solution fixed in no time!'... But nope. When i looked online, i saw i had TWO accounts, and the funds were in that second account that i had no idea existed... And... The card i just received isn't linked to that account! So now i'm like, 'wtf!??'. I immediately call up their hotline and ask to know what is the meeting of this. They tell me that they're 'sorry' and they'll send another card which could take up to 7 business days! I'm like, 'NO WAY JOSE!' so they put me on hold (one time i was on hold for 30 minutes so i called back on another phone line and THEN the other line wants to open up... Customer service their sucks!).. Ultimately i ended up speaking w/a supervisor who expedited the card (2 day service)... Better than nothing. WELL THERE'S MORE! So after a few days no card arrives, so i call back and ask what happened. They said that they had to wait until the following business day to send the card which is understandable since this all took place on a friday. However, i call back the next day and they said it was sent via fedex but NO tracking # is available... Wtf??? Now i don't know about any of you, but i've dealt with fedex plenty of times and know without a doubt they ALWAYS give out a tracking #. So when i'm fed this line of bull* i immediately ask for a supervisor... Then i speak with him and realize he's a moron and demand HIS supervisor... Finally i speak with this guy named eric who said he'll transfer some funds from the account that has my money into the card i have in my hand... It may take 24hours to process and it may not be ALL of my money, but at least it'll hold me over until my 2nd card arrives. PHEW! I don't know about ya'll, but as soon as i get that other card, i'm immediately going to transfer all of my money somewhere else that isn't ACCOUNTNOW!!! Worst customer service and business ethics ever!!!
