On Friday (11/30) I received a text message stating "On 12/03 your AccountNow Card 5148 will receive 2 deposits $1275.70 & $646.00. Funds will not be available until 12/03." I called Customer Service and told them that I did not have an account with AccountNow. The CSR told me that I would have to provide picture id, social security card and a utility bill. The CSR hung up before telling me where to send it and without informing me about the Account Restriction. The funds were deposited into my account on 12/01 at 1:41am. Later that day I called and another CSR gave me the fax # to send the required Documents. Which I have done. I explained to that CSR that I did in fact have an Account with AccountNow, through MoneyGram. I was unaware at the time that My MoneyGram Pre-Paid Visa Debit Card was also AccountNow. I cannot wait the 3 to 5 business days, which in actuality is 7 to 10 Calendar days for my funds to be released. I am a single disabled mother who survives only on Social Security Disability Benefits. As of today I have several bills that are past due and I know by the end of today my electricity and phone will be shut off. I have a child that I need to fed. Etc... If the text messge I received on 11/30 stated "MoneyGram/AccountNow Card 5148... I would never have had this problem. I will close this account once my funds become available to me and take my business elsewhere. I am in poor health and all this stress is not helping it. If this is how ACCOUNTNOW does business, they will never have my business. They does rate a 5 out of 5 for first impressions, A extremely bad 1st impression, especially now it being a "happy time of year."
