Do not accept offer rip off

I was contacted on November 26th around 5:30pm by someone named Dina at Centurion Financial. I was told that I had been approved for a $2000.00 Mastercard with 0% interest for 6 months, and then it would be 8% interest for the life of the mastercard. She said I would then be eligble for higher amounts of credit after 6 months of paying my monthly bills on time. She then told me that I would have to pay a $249.00 fee for the mastercard, which covered the life of the mastercard, and I would never again have to pay surcharges or ATM withdraw fees that other cards have associated with them. She said, I need your social security number (which you would think she would have since she said I was "approved").

I refused to give her this over the telephone by saying "I do not give this information over the phone). She agreed that was ok, and then said, I would need your bank account name and account info so that I can withdraw this fee on December 5th, of 2004. I said "I am not paying for something I have not even recieved or SEEN!". She said, you will recieve the disclosures in the mail once you pay the fee. Well sorry, but I do not pay for something and sign for something without reading the documents. I told her I would not give any personal information like that over the phone, she hung up on me. I am writing this report the day that this has happened, and I am also going to call the Police, and write to all the local newstations, possibly national new stations so noone would get scammed. Luckily, she didn't get me because I was browsing the internet at the same time I was talking to her, so I checked out her company while I talked, and realized she was scamming. Please everyone, watch out.
