My husband called this company for their card. On the last day of free trial, we called to cancel. The woman said that it was too late and our bank account had been debited already. After yelling at her to cancel the D* card, I hung up. A few weeks later, we receive their catalog... A month later we recieve a statement. We had already placed a stop payment on the first debit, but did not think about future debits. We thought the cards were canceled. We hardly used the checking account given to them, and when we checked it finally, we were negative $200. We again called the company and the woman said that it showed where we called but only the call was disconnected. We had to fed ex a letter of cancellation to them and when I called after receiving yet another bill, I found out we were still responsible to pay $128. I told her I refused to pay the amount and our checking account was closed... But I honestly am worried because this will go on our credit as a negative. These people need to be stopped. Isn't there a class action lawsuit that we could file?
