My experience

After getting a "invitation, " I decided to go ahead and send them the $43.00 Knowing full well I would have to close my checking account — since I was on the brink of switching banks anyway, I thought okay, I'd do this, and not close out the one account until the check is cleared. I thank this site for giving me the insight (I checked on the company as soon as I got the certificate)

Twice I had my check sent BACK to me, saying it needed a new PAY TO:

Twice I sent it back (after getting annoyed that I still could not close out my other bank account).

I finally got that "call" telling me I had been approved, and that I would be getting the "free" auto and phone cards. I declined on the phone, but the gentlemen was insistent that they get sent and that I could cancel them.

THOSE cards arrived almost 3 days later. Upon searching for 800 numbers to call to cancel — here are the ones I gathered:
1-800-874-9164
1-800-707-1689
1-866-989-8999
1-888-797-8137
1-866-888-9157
1-888-446-3353
and
1-800-662-2581

It took 2 days to get through finally, to get cancellation numbers on those "free" gifts. Were they totally free, I will never know (see next paragraph)

After the phone call, yes, my checking account was auto-debited the $43.00. I went that night and "officially" canceled the checking account, so I cannot tell you if they tried anymore auto-debits.

I then started on my 800 list again to get hold of someone to tell them I had changed my mind, and did not want their "credit card." No, you cannot cancel the card, until you get it in the mail. She was very interested in what I had to say, very polite, and very stern that the card could not be canceled until I had it in my hands.

Yesterday, I DID finally get the catalog and card in the mail. (3 months total from first check written to card and catalog in mail). I immediately took their card to the post office, cut in half, and sent it to them, returned receipt certificate to cancel the account. Again, it does not matter to me whether they do or not, since my account is closed to them for further funding to their company.

I then spent some time last night looking through their catalog.
The amazing things (besides they too high prices), is that their "down" payment is the cost that it would be if you just went to the store and purchased the item.

I wish I could help more of you who could not afford to "lose" the $43.00. So far, I have gotten no more phone calls, I don't know if it is because they no longer have access to my checking account, but if you have not closed your account, from reading all these reports since Jan you need to do that.

Hopefully, some of the 800 numbers might help someone else, along with the experience I have had with the company.
