This shelter should be shut down immediately and I am disgusted that this foundation is still up and running. I chose to adopt a kitten in the winter of 2011 which appeared to be healthy. The people running Buffalo Paws and Claws advised I could feed the kitten Science Diet as it was a very healthy diet. The kitten was in my house for three days and refused to eat. I went as far as trying to get a bottle for kittens with formula and he still declined. I left a voice mail asking for a return phone call expressing my concern that all I could get my kitten to do was drink water. Nobody returned the voicemail. Three hours later, the little guy died in front of me so of course I called the number back extremely upset that I had to even witness what I did! The girl advised that I starved the kitten and who was I to wait three days to attempt calling them. I went back to Petco, where Buffalo Paws and Claws was set up to express my concern. Several months later, it showed my kitten "Chuck"up on the wall as a successful adoption! The website even shows that he was adopted and living a happy life! After this occurred, I eventually found two kittens from another shelter and clearly I am not starving them! My vet did advise that Buffalo Paws and Claws has many horror stories of giving out sick animals to people... Do not deal with this shelter!!!
