We bought our kitten by picking out our kitten from the web site and E-mailing Lynn Snyder, the breeder. She shipped us the kitten at 7 weeks old which we later found out was too young. The kitten also had fleas. About 6 weeks later she was diagnosed with a virus call FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). The vet explained to us that kittens can catch to virus from their Moms or other cats in a breeder and that they usually show simptoms about 6 weeks after leaving the breeder and being re-homed. This is exactly what happened to our kitten.
The virus can make a kitten fill up with fluid and run a fever. It is always deadly. Our kitten died at four months old.
When I contacted Lynn, she would not take any responsibility and accused me of mistreating the kitten. She also said "No dead cats here". When I did an internet search to see what kind of person would respond in such a way I found other complains against this same breeder.
