Shop around and think really hard before going to Direct TV. They make many promises the company doesn't plan on keeping in order to get customers under contract. Once you are stuck under Direct TV contract, the charges and fees immediately start increasing. I needed to chage out my DVR box to a standard box and Direct TV told me that I needed to pay them an extra up-front fee of $70.00 for a standard box instead of a DVR box. My monthly bill is already $115.00 monthly. This company has sham customer service with poor attitudes toward customers.
