We had a thunderstorm blow through the area on June 29 and our satellite service went out. When calling customer service we were told we have to sign up for an extended warranty for an additional $5.99 a month. Our bill has already gone up from the promotional rate of $64.99 and now it is almost double that. Now that our service is out, we are told we have to wait 5 days to get our service fixed!!! Direct TV has a big gimmick going on to attract customers. They get you in with their cheap prices and raise your monthly payment. Then they charge you extra for service and have way too long amounts of time to get your serviced. They make you sign a 2 year contract to get the cheap monthly promotional rate. Don't be a sucker like we were. Stay away from Direct TV!!! You will be glad you did!
