We have been repeatedly lied to by this company. When we started the cancellation process we were told that we would not have to pay a cancellation fee. When we called to finish the process, we were told that we would have to pay a fee and that there was no record of the original call. Furthermore, there is no reference to how the cancellation fee is calculated. The only mention of a cancellation or termination fee is a $15 fee. Upon speaking to the company today, we were told that everything was included in an email. We never got the email. I have carefully reviewed every single email we have received from DTV and there is no mention of how the fee is calculated. This is an underhanded and dishonest company. We had to call on more than one occassion to get the rebates and monthly fee that we were promised when we signed up. I would never recommend this product to anyone, ever. As a matter of fact, I have had friends who were curious about the service and were thinking of switching and when they heard about the underhanded practices and that lying is apparently a method taught to customer representatives, they have decided to stick with cable. Definitely submitting to the BBB, Attorney General, and FCC.
