Direct tv has gotten three collection agencies after us for a breech of contract. We moved to time warner because of a special offer after several years with direct tv. Next, we got a huge bill from direct tv because we had apparently breeched an implied contract. Are you serious? They stated since we opened an email, this was considered a contract. We never knew about a contract and never signed anything. On top of that, the customer service or service recovery was non existent. After numerous times calling, everyone of the representatives just wanted the money and now. I settled with collection agencies, however, the collection agencies only paid direct tv a portion of the amount owed. So, there you have the endless cycle of collections. I will never get direct tv again and have been telling everyone how greedy and non sympathetic they are. THEY SEEM TO ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!!! I was taught in business school how the customer should come first. I was also taught as a child how to be fair and trustworthy. Well, direct tv lost my business and a lot of my friends business for a lifetime which will cost them thousands in lost revenue.
