Verizon welshes on netbook promotion (June)
In January I obtained an awesome telemarketing marketing from Verizon: a Compaq netbook or Switch camcorder for improving my present (slow) Verizon Internet DSL service to 3 Mbps and "dual bundling" it with my present Verizon voice phone support. I approved this speech DSL "dual pack" update from Verizon, but used to donot have it written down. BIG MISTAKE.
I'd no published content of marketing conditions, but I were able to google up a 2009 Verizon news release on its site, which claims:
"Current Verizon style clients who include possibly the upto-3 Mbps or upto-7.1 Mbps Highspeed websites may obtain their selection of a Compaq Small netbook for $99.99 or perhaps a free Switch Extremely camcorder. These promotional offers proceed although August 15." *
I named Verizon customer support 24 hours later to verify whether this promotion was still essentially (it had been) and whether improving and changing to Verizonis "increase pack" created me entitled to the Compaq netbook. I had been again informed that my new support pack and update made me qualified, the netbook might charge $99 (plus delivery), which I'd to keep my new support pack for atleast 60-days, when Verizon might inform me ways to get the promotion "discount" for that netbook.
