Delay in refund and arrogant customer service
8/16 ordered and paid for UIXE Upholstered Plush Velvet L Shaped Couch Modular Sofa. 8/21 2 of 3 boxes arrived. 8/25 called Overstock for missing box waiting over 1.5 hrs on hold; CSR said they'd trace & let me know. 8/29 called Overstock for followup (88 mins on hold); no trace previously done; escalated to supervisor who said she'd trace. 8/30 rcvd Overstock email stating transit company returned damaged goods to mfr who would remake the part 9/30 and ship. 9/2 called Overstock (63 mins on hold) to state resolution no acceptable & requested refund immediately; was told scripted 3-5 biz days for refund processing & response from mfr on what to do with rest of sofa as it was vacuum sealed & can't be sent back in box. 9/4: called Overstock (1 hr on hold); escalated & no answer from mfr. Advised supervisor if no mfr response by 9/5, sofa was going to the curb. 9/11: saw credit "in process" on credit card; called Overstock about rest of sofa & it was going to curb; supervisor said "fine". 9/13: called Overstock bc credit was removed from credit card processing; was told by CSR bc supervisor wouldn't talk to me to wait 3-5 biz days to process on credit card. Took CSR & supervisor's names & name from email and will turn over to my attorney on 9/20/25.
