After believing for nine years that we were in "good hands," Allstate dropped the ball. We were stranded because of a loss of brakes on our car. Calling Allstate was a joke. After repeated calls, we were informed that they had no service in our area. I need to say that we live less than 15 minutes from large cities in each direction, and on a state highway. But no help was the most that was offered. It was right after Thanksgiving, money was tight, and we were in a mess. "You pay and maybe you can be reimbursed," we were told. Maybe? We had no choice but to drive the car to a repair garage ourselves. With no brakes and no help from Allstate in sight, off we went. Allstate contacted me a few days later and told me there was a problem. Obviously. We lived through it.
Allstate, if this is the best you have got, I do not see your company lasting long. No thanks to you. AAA may now have a shot; we need someone we can depend on in our moment of need.
