I am a Fairbanks client. They are foreclosing on my home. I tried dealing with them, but they are never wrong.
My problem started when my loan was sold to Fairbanks from ContiMortgage, or so I'm told. They said that I was over $10,000 behind. I contacted them and told them they were wrong, and they told me to file a complaint. I did so, and they contacted me through the mail and said they needed more time to investigate. Their complaint department will not allow you to talk with a live human being, and they say the only way they will talk to me is through the mail.
I found out through many different contacts that there must have been an arrearage when they took over the loan, though they won't come out and say it. I have told them that their records are incorrect, but they do nothing.
I have offered to send them a record of canceled checks to show that they are incorrect, but they have asked for nothing. I'm hoping and praying that I might get the home refinanced before the foreclosure, but that is a problem because they are giving out wrong information to lenders. I don't know what to do. I'm trying to get a contract real estate lawyer to help me, and maybe that will work. But whether it does or doesn't, I would like everyone on this board to know that they (Fairbanks) are not FAIR BANK at all. They are a big ripoff!!!
