Windstream Monopoly - DSL

I have had Windstream internet coming to my home for a little over 3 years. I have been paying for 12k service, but only connected at about 1.5k speed. I fought with them for a few years and gave up the fight and decided I would have to live with it because they are the ONLY internet provider in the area.

Then in the middle of August, we developed another issue. Every 3 minutes, the DSL modem resets itself, dropping all internet connection. After 20-30 seconds, the internet resets and allows me to once again search online. The problem is I have to cut and past every 2 minutes while writing this review, because the interent keeps dropping and I have to open the web site all over again. I have been trying to get ANYONE from windstream to come fix the issue with no luck. I have taken 3 days off to be home when the repair guy arrives (which has NEVER made it to my house) during the last 30 days. I have decided to live without internet at my house and save to $70.00 a month that they charge without providing service.

I am posting this so maybe you will think twice before you jump into the Windstream circus.

They are the only provider in a lot of area's, and people feel they need internet, so they continue to put up with the worst service in the industry and pay for services they never fully get.
