I moved into an appartment in which I ordered television service from direct tv. Upon moving out in 2009 i cancelled the service and returned the equiptment back to them. About six months later I get a bill in the mail for over $400 in which I do not owe. They keep harrassing me over this money and sent my account to a collection agency trying to scare me by ruining my credit. They are now saying that I did not return the equiptment and that I used it at another address. It is a different reason for the bill every time I contact them. They refuse to listen or try to fix either this missunderstanding or scam they are pulling on me. Today, April 18 I recieved another bill from a collection agency through direct tv for now $558.97. I don't know how to make this go away, but they are definitely falsely charging me. Advice for those looking into television companies, direct tv can't get their billing right and they obviously don't like when you cancel your service.
