Upon ending our business dealings with this company and taking the equipment to the local store we are told we owe for "breaking a contract". We ask to see a copy of said contract because we do not have one, no one is able to show us. One month later we get a statement claiming we owe $0.01, which I pay. I call customer service and am told that we owe over $90 for "terminating a contract". I tell the representative that once we are provided with documentation of this in writing, we will gladly pay this, because no one here recalls signing any contract with this company. We wait another 2-3 weeks for this documentation and bill, and then we both call customer service (on the speaker phone). I ask to speak with a manager to get this matter settled. The man is so rude we can hardly believe it. He tells us that the company does not need to send a statement or proof of said contract. We just need to pay the fee "because he says so". This is when we realize speaking with him will do no good. We go to the BBB and file a complaint. The company refused outright to send a statment of why they are billing us for this in interactions with the BBB. The company told the BBB they cannot duplicate the statement for the fee we have requested five times. They cannot duplicate it because it never existed. Or if it did, it was never sent to us They did however send a claim to a collections agency before ever sending us proof of what the bill is for.
