I contacted Dish satellite company 30 days ago to upgrade service on 4 receivers in my residence to HD and equipment. One standard receiver had been replaced in 2009 with HD because 7 year old one quit working. And they wanted to Charge me $100 to do it, until I told them I would go to Directv before I would pay charge.

So I asked for another HD receiver and 2 new standard receivers too replace equipment that was 7 years old. Representative (s) at time would only agree to 1 Hd receivers with a new 2 year contract. Reps I talked to would not replace other 2 receivers. Why would I sign a 2 year contract on equipment that was 7 years old with remotes wearing out, and with knowing the previous year the problem I had getting a receiver replaced.

The billing cycle ended on 19th of each month, so I am having Directv installed on 19th to not create another problem with billing issues. Called Dish Tv today to cancel and talked to 2 reps trying to talk me out of canceling. Transferred to a 3rd rep who now offers to upgrade all equipment. I do not do business that way!

Now they are sending me boxes to send back equipment at $15.00 PER RECEIVER... If you are going to do business with Dish Tv be prepared to BARTER. They will not be willing to satisfy a customer's needs until you go to a competitor
