We recently cancelled one of four receivers we owned on our account because our son passed away. Dish Network wants us to return the receiver as they claim we are leasing it. The current account was originated with a new double HD receiver where we paid upward of $295 for that unit. We later added two separate receivers we had from a prior cancelled account. All equipment is owned and covered with replacement warranty.
Echostar Satellite LLC Dish Network insists that all the equipment is leased. We know we paid for all the receivers and they can't show the proper history on the account even on the externally acquired receivers.
We believe they financially COOKED their books and falsely report leased equipment on their books when we know we paid for everything.
There should be an investigation to determine the extent of this misrepresentation and to expose the false representation.
