On 12/5/08, filed a complaint with PSC against Comcast for billing me for charges not advertised nor relayed to me prior to receipt of service. On 12/8/08, a Ms. Sing (347-293-4356) from Comcast called my home and left a message for me to contact them. I have attempted, over the past 3 days to contact Ms. Sing - I have left messages for Ms. Sing on their "Cisco Unity Messaging System" - and have yet to receive a return call. I have contacted Comcast's Customer Support Department (404-266-2278) and have yet to receive a return call. I am asking for your assistance.
In my initial dealings with Comcast, 10/6/08, I acquired telephone and internet service at a cost of $86.09 monthly (includes taxes and surcharges). On 11/3/08, I added television/cable service. Was now told that the charge for my monthly service (telephone, internet and cable) would now be $99, as advertised. When I received my bill on 12/5/08, the amount was for $244.44. Comcast had assessed additional charges to my account. I was never made aware of these charges prior to my request for additional (cable) services and should not have to pay them.
When the technician came out 11/3/08 to install service, he had me sign a work order signifying that service was being installed in 4 rooms. Comcast istates that what I signed was authorization to charge me for service for 4 rooms. This is not what they advertised. This is not what was told me by their scheduling / ordering department.
I would like to have the additional charges assessed against my account removed. They were not advertised nor relayed to me prior to my ordering cable service. My concerns are falling on deaf ears at Comcast. I need your assistance.
My last conversation with Comcast was on 12/12/08, at which time I spoke with Jesus (# 31769) via live chat.in the conversation, he stated that someone from Research would contact me. To date, no one has.
