Dish Network
Charging unnecessary fees

My 97 years old, WWII veteran father is a faithful customer of Dish for at least 20 years. Bills have always been paid IN FULL, Ahead of Time.in early 2013 both boxes quit working. Two boxes were sent, but I spent three hours with India, North Carolina, and Arizona trying to get them to work. Arizona finally got them working and offered six months free Cinemax and Starz. For two months they were free. Then they started charging $13.00. I called the 800 number and the guy told me to deduct the amount, and just pay the normal monthly rate, as he agreed we should not be charged $13.00. I paid the monthly amount in full. Then the next month's bill came, and the $13.00 is there AGAIN! I called and argued for two hours with customer service including a supervisor who said it had to be owed. I said "no, I was told to deduct the $13.00 as it was NOT owed. To this day it is still on the statement. I have been paying ALL bills IN FULL and ON TIME! I also sent a large packet and letter to the address listed for complaints on the bills explaining why the $13.00 is NOTgoing to be paid. This was in June, and still NO ANSWER. Now on September 16 the bill shows they are starting to charge a $7.00 late fee, plus the $13.00 not owed, plus the regular rates. And PAY IMMEDIATELY!!! Now on September 17 there is a message in my e-mail that the statement if "Past Due" and if it is not paid immediately, they will disconnect service. This statement and account is NOT PAST DUE!!! I have e-mailed numerous times, called, snail mailed, and to no avail. I am really sick and tired of Dish wanting money that is not due to them. Especially from a war veteran who makes it possible for them to operate their company in the United States of America. I would really like it if somebody would please contact us to get these charges deducted. If Dish steps one foot onto our property without our authorization, there are going to be legal ramifications.
