I was a Directv customer for nine years, I decided to try comcast when it became available in my area, I called to cancel Directv & was talked into switching back to directv.
At that time I was sold internet service through Wild blue the Directv sales rep. Told me the ten gig per month plan was more than enough for family using Netflix & internet.
Around 36 hrs after installation I received an email saying I had used up my months worth of data. I tried to call & cancel plan & was told I would owe $15 per month early termination fee as per my contract. I informed company that I never received a contract, so how could I have signed. They said I esigned as of 11.08 A.M. Feb. 9th
My installation was not complete until after noon & I was working until after 2P.M. That day. I am disgusted that a company as reputable as directv would sell something & not stand by their customers when there is a problem. Wildblue removed $417 from my bank account 3 days after installation for my "Early termination fee"
I am appalled by such business practices, essentially I was charged $417 for 2 days service. But worst of all I am appalled that Directv was responsible for this problem, but refused to help!!
