I was misled by CheapOair.com. I want my money back. I want customers to become aware of this company's immoral business conduct and keep away from them.
Before I booked a $1000 air ticket (Booking # 8700838) from Chicago via Toronto International to Beijing, I had called CheapOair.com customer service several times to inquire if a transit visa was needed for a PR China passport holder. Each of them told me with an absolute certainty, "No, because it is just a transit, you don't have to enter Canada." None of them told me I should check with the airline or other authorities.
When I appeared at the Air Canada ticket counter of Chicago Airport, I was denied of check-in because I "did not have a transit visa" for Toronto International.
I called CheapOair.com again, and this time they charged me more than $1200 additional "schedule change fees" for the mistake they initially made on my ticket sale!
Now, not only I had to pay much higher prices, but my trip was also ruined with a much longer delay.
When I complained by emailing CheapOair.com, they first apologized and promised to treat this as "one of those exceptional cases." However, when this came to the company's Escalations Department, a "Cruze" denied the company's responsibility of misleading sales practice.instead of refunding my overpayment of more than $1200, this department is only willing to compensate me for $300.
I am very disappointed by CheapOair.com's misleading sales practice and its Escalations Department's blind "investigation" and denial of responsibilities. It made me to pay more than doubled the "cheap ticket" and ruined my trip! I guess this is how CheapOair.com makes their dirty money. They first tricks you into impossible trips, and then force you to pay more than double! What a well planned sales scheme!
I believe many innocent people are badly damaged by these sales tricks and feel helpless. Everybody should know about this and keep away from CheapOair.com. They make their dirty money not by providing services, but rather by providing wrong information to force you pay much higher prices!
