Ripoff do not call they will charge you without your consent and WILL NOT refund you

I recieved a offer by mail for a discounted trip to florida from the Ramada Plaza Resorts in Florida. I called to obtain information, and thought it sounded like a good deal - boy was i wrong!

I spoke to a man named Jay Gordon who was the representative responsable for hooking me in with manipulative phrases like "come on Lindsay this will be the trip of a lifetime, you will have such great time here, you have time to set a later date, why wouldn't you take this offer, you only get one call so lets do it now".

So he told me he could start the process and would need my credit card, "but not to worry that all the information would have to go through verification before i was charged, and all calls are monitored and recorded for my protection." i started to become very scepticle because of his persistance. So i asked if my money could be refunded if when i recieved the package i did not want it. He responded that it could be given to someone else in my place. Thats not what i wanted to hear, so i asked again and he replied the same, and said that he would be sending all my tickets so they wouldn't be able to refund the money.

Then i thought how could they send me tickets if i hadn't even picked a date to travel.By this time i was in "verification" because the lady in charge there had to look up my state to see what our policy was on refunding. So i then told her that i had changed my mind and did not want the package. I did not really know what i was getting for $1200 in that package, and had a bad feeling about the whole thing. Once i said this a lady interrupted the phone line questioning why i had changed my mind, and so on. Then Jay got on the line and started to badger me about my decision.

There were 3 people on the line hassling me and then i ended up with the "supervisor". He was the most rude person that i have EVER had to speak to, and since their calls are recorded i would like to hear that tape and let everyone hear how ramada employees talk to people who call their line. He said things like "why would you give us your credit card number if you did not want to be charged, sorry ma'am but it is not refundable, i don't know what to tell you it's just too bad!"

At this point i was in tears just thinking what did i get myself into? I argued and argued with the man and he just kept laughing at me, saying there was nothing that he could do, and he hoped i enjoyed my trip. I then asked to talk to the original person that io spoke to, jay, and he said he is gone. So i asked to speak to someone in charge, he said that was him the "supervisor".

Some time went by with this constant arguing going back and forth. I finally said " i did not give you permission to charge my credit card, and i will not pay for it". He said "don't pay for it i don't care". I said again that i did not authorize the charge, and luckily for me he said "let me make this easy for you ma'am, i will cancel it" and hung up on me.

I called back and spoke to a boy named Tony who said he did not know who i had spoke to, jay wasn't there and therefor could not help me. He gave me the customer service number 1-800-203-9783. So i called there and told the woman who answered what had happened, and i wanted to know if the charge had really been canceled. She showed no care, and said they wouldn't know for at least three days.

So i called my credit card company and they said the charge was pending and to give it a few days to drop off. So the next day i decided to call back and talk to Jay. When i called 1-800-635-8523 and asked for his extension 211, i was put on hold. The "manager" Debbie answered and said i could not speak to hime and that she would have to help me. I knew it was one of the women i had spoke to the day before even though she conviently said she hadn't been there the day before.

So i told her what happened and how i was treated, and by her attitude i could tell she didn't believe me. So she looked it up and said it had been cancelled but could prove it to me. So i called the customer service line again and told them i was going to get someone involved to investigate their company, who i believe now to be fraudulant. They told me i could do what ever i wanted.

I think this company is a fraud and i think they take advantage of people. I hope i can help everybody who gets one of these mail offers to throw them away immediatly. I just hope my experience will help others, and that something will be done about this ripoff company. My charge is still pending, so lets hope they really did cancel the charge.
